Once there, you can settle in before starting your first safari activity in the afternoon.
Activities on safari
On safari, you can expect exciting daily activities such as game drives, bush walks, and seasonal boat tours, where you can encounter elephants, buffalo, hyenas, zebras, giraffes, and other animals. Optionally, you can visit the Wildlife Education Centre, make tribal textiles, or enjoy spa treatments (at an additional cost).
Take advantage of the camps' facilities and relax on the verandah, watch wildlife in the hide-out or enjoy a campfire in the evening.
Accommodation in Zambia
Discover four unique accommodations on our safari: Luangwa River Camp offers a bush suite with brick walls and a thatched roof, overlooking a private corner of Africa. To the side of each room is a huge bathroom with a flush toilet, two hand basins, a large open shower, and a bath. Both the bedroom and the bathroom have sliding doors that open onto a terrace with a great view of the Luangwa river.
At Tena Tena Camp the standard tents offer a private view of the Luangwa River. Their design is closely linked to nature: Natural materials are used, curved walls surround trees and subtle colours allow for seamless integration into the surroundings.
From every room, you can enjoy an impressive view of the Luangwa National Park and relax at the end of the day. Let a breeze of nature in through the open front and enjoy the smells and sounds of the wilderness as you lie cozily in bed.
At Luangwa Bush Camp you will experience the flexibility and closeness to nature of mobile camps with cosy Meru tents. All meals are taken by the romantic Luangwa River, where you can observe numerous wild animals.
For the next few days, you can experience nature, the proximity to the Zambian wilderness and the benefits of minimalism. The mobile camps give you the chance to be secluded from other groups and enjoy the peace and quiet of Zambia.
Nsefu Camp has traditional rondavels with en-suite bathrooms and the best views in South Luangwa. Every room has an uninterrupted view of the river, whether from the bed or the cosy chairs on the veranda.
Here you can enjoy a unique hide-out view to see wildlife such as elephants, zebras, and giraffes up close – a favourite spot for camera enthusiasts and birding fans.
Leisure and board
In your free time between activities, you can enjoy nature to the fullest and relax at the camp, for example. Additional activities are optionally available, which you can book for an extra charge.
Enjoy comprehensive catering during the safari, including local drinks at the bar. Special dietary requirements are catered for, except for nut allergies, for which an alternative should be found together during the time of the mobile safari.

Background to Luangwa National Park
The Luangwa National Park, located in the heart of Zambia, is a paradise for nature lovers and adventurers. With its unspoiled landscapes, rich diversity of wildlife, and fascinating history, this park is a jewel of Africa. The origin of guided walking safaris, which offer an exciting and intimate way to experience the wilderness on foot, lies right here in the Luangwa National Park. The idea was first developed in the 1950s by pioneering visionaries such as Norman Carr and Robin Pope. These walks allow visitors to explore nature uniquely and connect more deeply with the environment.
The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including the famous "Luangwa Boys", a group of lions known for their ferocious demeanor. Elephants majestically roam the landscape, while hippos and crocodiles inhabit the waterways. For bird lovers, the Luangwa National Park is a true paradise, with an abundance of species including the majestic African Fish Eagle and the colourful Lilian's Lovebird.
